Each division has its own environmental characteristics; many of our people work in each division, and we are not indifferent to what kind of air we breathe.
One of the main goals and responsibilities of our department is to improve air quality in workplaces and in the city, introducing measures to reduce emissions of pollutants and production waste.
There are many ways to solve these issues, some of them are outlined below.
- The workshops of our enterprise are equipped with gas purification units (abbreviated as GOU) in the amount of 51 units, for which operating instructions have been developed. These installations capture dust and harmful impurities from the gas-air mixture generated from operating process equipment with an efficiency of up to 97%.
- Gas cleaning units are constantly checked in the workshops of our enterprise. It is very important that during operation the gas treatment units operate properly, reliably, efficiently and continuously, because the air quality in the workplace and outside the workshop depends on this. Monitoring is carried out to ensure that the GOUs operate uninterruptedly and safely and are interlocked with the operation of process equipment. We ensure that the gas treatment units operate with a high degree of purification, and we monitor the compliance of the actual operating parameters of the gas treatment unit with the design parameters or parameters obtained from the results of commissioning work. Every year we check the efficiency of the state educational institution and for this we involve certified laboratories that are licensed to carry out laboratory measurementsі.
- We also ensure that GOUs operate without violating the tightness and reliable sealing of gas ducts, cleaning devices, smoke exhausters, fans, conveyor covers and reloading (overspilling) points, and measurement holes. It is necessary that the motors of fans and smoke exhausters work properly and uninterruptedly, so that there is no accumulation and caking of dust in communications, gas ducts and cleaning devices of the gas treatment plant.
Importantly:
All these parameters are monitored and departments are audited. Based on the results of these audits, instructions are drawn up and transmitted to the management of the departments. These inconsistencies are quickly corrected.
The main air pollutants that are formed during the operation of the enterprise are:
carbon monoxide (about 41%)
substances in the form of suspended solid particles undifferentiated in composition (about 30%)
nitrogen oxides (nitrogen oxide and dioxide) in terms of nitrogen dioxide (about 18%)
sulfur dioxide (dioxide and trioxide) in terms of sulfur dioxide (about 5%)
non-methane volatile organic compounds (about 7.5%)
metals and their compounds (about 3.5%)
methane, benzo(a)pyrene, fluorine and its compounds, hydrogen chloride and hydrocyanic acid, the contribution of which is less than 1%
The emissions also contain greenhouse gases: nitrogen (1) oxide [N2O] and carbon dioxide.

Importantly:
According to the requirements of the Tax Code of Ukraine, our company quarterly charges an environmental tax for the disposal of waste on the territory of the structural divisions of LLC “ CMP” and an environmental tax on emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere, and also maintains records and reports on waste management.
We promptly receive and reissue permits necessary for carrying out the economic activities of our enterprise.
“CMP” LLC has production facilities and technological equipment that are subject to the implementation of the best available technologies and methods, which makes it possible to reduce emissions of pollutants into the air and reduce the amount of waste. Our company also upgrades technological equipment (machines) to more modern ones, the operation of which does not emit pollutants into the atmosphere. For example, new machines have been installed that use a water-based liquid as a coolant, for example UNIZOR-M, which does not emit pollutants.
Among our achievements:
they reconstructed the casting production site from the technology of forming sand-clay mixtures to the technology of cold-hardening mixtures (CMC) with the installation of three mixers with a capacity of 10 t/h, 20 t/h. and 40 t/hour. This technology improvement allows the waste sand (burnt earth) to be reused, thereby reducing waste and tax costs for waste storage and sand raw materials.
a modernization of the rotary lathe with PMO was carried out, as a result of which plasma cutting of metal was removed from the machine and only mechanical processing remained. There are no emissions of pollutants, the source of emissions has been cancelled.
in order to reduce and minimize emissions of pollutants, equipment and technological processes are being improved (decommissioning of unnecessary equipment, such as degreasing baths and furnace No. 1 for heating liners).
Our company intends to continue to introduce the best available production technologies, especially those that do not require excessive costs, but are the most effective in terms of preventing, minimizing or neutralizing pollution.
According to its environmental policy, our company undertakes to:
- develop an environmental strategy based on the best available technologies and methods of environmental safety management, taking into account the interests of society and the capabilities of the enterprise;
- implement environmental programs to gradually improve environmental performance and achieve environmental standards;
- continue the gradual adaptation of the Kyoto Protocol, introduce energy and resource-saving technologies;
- carry out a gradual adaptation of environmental requirements to European standards;
- rational and efficient use of subsoil and land resources;
- maintain openness of environmental information and cooperation with all stakeholders to make decisions in the field of environmental protection;
- constantly improve the environmental management system to reduce the significance of environmental aspects;
- demonstrate commitment to managers at all levels to implement environmental policy, comply with legislative acts and create conditions for the fulfillment of environmental goals and objectives;
- ensure environmental awareness and general involvement of enterprise employees in the economic activities.
